Bien content que tout ça soit fini. Les gens vont solder leur investissement moral un bon coup en faisant un caca nerveux, et puis on pourra tous gentiment reprendre une existence normale.

L'entourage des Clinton est déjà en train de quitter le navire. Un tsunami de boue va s'abattre sur elle pour lui faire porter l'intégralité de cet échec cuisant. Pas de prison pour elle ? Je n'en suis pas si sûr. Sans ses soutiens, sans perspective de pouvoir absolu, la merde qu'elle pourrait sortir sur ceux qui la lâchent ne suffira pas à changer la trajectoire.

Keith Ellison, the Minnesota congressman who is being touted by top Democrats for election as the party committee's new chairman, may not be a household name to many Americans.

But he is well known among activists in the Democratic Party's progressive wing.

 

Senators Charles Schumer, Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders have all stated their support for Ellison to be the new chair of the Democratic National Committee following the party's devastating loss to Republican Donald Trump in the presidential election. Ellison has not formally announced that he wants the job, but has said he will make an announcement of some kind on Monday.

 

“We can present a very clear alternative to the American people as to what we could have if we organize and engage,” Ellison said after Tuesday's election. “We have to use the First Amendment ... to oppose Trump and Trumpism at every turn.”

 

Ellison gained visibility during the presidential election when he became just the second member of Congress to endorse Sanders in the Democratic presidential primary, a race the Vermont senator ultimately lost to Clinton.

 

 

The 53-year-old father of four has lived in Minnesota since graduating from the University of Minnesota Law School in 1990. Ellison was a community activist and ran a civil rights, employment and criminal defense law practice in Minneapolis before embarking on his political career.

 

He is co-chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, a member of the Congressional Black Caucus and he founded the Congressional Consumer Justice Caucus. He also belongs to more than a dozen other caucuses that focus on issues ranging from social inclusion to environmental protection, according to a biography on his website.

“The Democratic Party must be tolerant, inclusive, and progressive—not just in words, but in action. Our contrast with the White House must be stark,” said Rebecca Katz, a Democratic strategist who has worked for Bill de Blasio and Sen. Harry Reid. “Ellison has a lot of credibility in the progressive community from his progressive caucus colleagues, to local elected officials, to the Bernie fans. He could really help Washington Democrats get a clue.”

 

 

 

Prominent members of the left have already stepped forward to endorse the congressman, even before he has formally entered the race: Sen. Harry Reid, the outgoing Senate minority leader; Sen. Chuck Schumer, the incoming Senate minority leader; Sen. Bernie Sanders, the progressive standard bearer in 2016; and Sen. Elizabeth Warren, who many see as the future’s progressive standard bearer. Vu l'ambiance, je mets mon billet sur le fait qu'ils voteront pour le type car il est plus ou moins noir + musulman + supporter de Bernie Sanders.

Je m'amuserai à enquêter sur le bonhomme s'il vient à prendre le pouvoir au sein du DNC : cela permettra de deviner les évolutions à venir (il me semble, déjà, qu'il a fait partie de Nations of Islam et que c'est un ancien "nationaliste noir").

Y a plusieurs type de prog.

 

Y a le coté SJW qui risque de grossir mais qui a quand même pas été très efficace au niveau electoral.

Y a le coté socialiste (économique) sur lequel Clinton était pas à l'aise, ainsi qu'une grosse partie des Dems, (mais que Sanders a poussé) et qui a peut-etre manqué face à Trump

 

Cumuler les deux peut finir par réduire l'electorat ou casser le partie, les Dems sont plutot centristes.

Celà dit la radicalisation des Reps montre que ça peut arriver à gaucher aussi.

Mais très clairement, je pressens une radicalisation des démocrates vers un "tout-inclusif", avec un fort versant SJW (= les blancs sont méchants, il faut convaincre les gentilles minorités de franchir le pas, il faut qu'elles se reconnaissent en nous).
